The Division of Physiotherapy and Physician Associate is seeking to recruit an additional Lecturer (Practice Education) to its Physiotherapy Team, based within the College of Health and Life Sciences. Due to ongoing expansion and internationalization of our physiotherapy education provision we are seeking applicants with experience of clinical practice education to develop and manage our clinical placement provision. We welcome applications from Physiotherapists with a demonstrable commitment to the enhancement of physiotherapy education. Applications for both part time and full time positions will be considered.

As a member of the Physiotherapy Clinical Practice Education Team the post holders will be responsible for identifying and developing both UK and International clinical placement opportunities. You would be responsible for allocating and managing placement provision for pre-registration physiotherapy students as well as contributing to the ongoing enhancement of practice education. The post holder may also provide teaching and student support to students on our physiotherapy programmes, dependent on the clinical speciality of the post holder.

A Lecturer (Practice Education) will have an appropriate professional qualification and be a registered Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Under Brunel’s Academic Life Cycle policy, the appointment to Lecturer will be subject to a two year probationary period followed by a two year development period. Subject to meeting probationary and development targets, the post holder will be promoted to Senior Lecturer after four years.
