Deliver high quality physiotherapy service that links in with the wellbeing strategy of the University – offering an exceptional service to Staff, Students and general public.

Provide Physiotherapy, Prehabilitation and Rehabilitation service and assist with the generating income and raising the profile of Warwick Sport across the region.

To work with the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist to develop and deliver a physiotherapist service that provides high quality support to athletes in the Performance Sport Programme (teams and individual scholars) within Warwick Sport.

To work within a service to support the Lead Physiotherapist in continuing strong collaborative partnership with the strength and conditioning support service to form a specialist rehabilitation clinic with a regional reputation for excellence.

To work with the Clinical Lead to continue to work in conjunction with Coventry University Sports Therapy Department on the development and delivery of a sports therapy provision for students and staff.

To advise and assist the assessment of athletes with regard to their fitness and injury status in relation to their fitness to train or play.

To maintain on-going communication with colleagues to support best practice, including but not limited to: Strength and conditioning coaches, other clinical staff, lead performance coaches, health centre and other University sports staff

2. Customer Experience
• To assist the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist to develop rehabilitation service that delivers a high quality service to any user whether it be Performance Sport athletes, staff, students or members of the general public.
• To collaborate with multi-disciplinary team with the focus on delivering a high quality experience in injury management to all athletes on the Performance Sport Programme.
• To support in the delivery of physiotherapy, prehabilitation and rehabilitation.
• To support in the delivery of a high quality Performance Sport support programme for Teams and scholars that links the rehabilitation process with coaches and strength and conditioning staff to support athletes within the teams to perform at the highest possible level and achieve outcomes as per KPI’s set for each team.
• To support in implementation of a measure of client satisfaction within the support programme and contribute to the review of the programme to identify areas for improvement and where athlete satisfaction can be enhanced.
• To ensure that the physiotherapy service provide represents best practice to ensure that practice utilises up to date treatment techniques and resources.

3. Finance and Budgets
• To assist the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist in identifying other potential areas of income generation.

4. External Partnership
• To continue to support Clinical Lead in developing links to other health professionals/consultants so that the clinic can become an established base for return to sport programmes after secondary care referrals/procedures.
• To support Clinical Lead and Sports Therapist in the mentorship of Coventry University students on placement within the Physiotherapy department.
• To support the Clinical Lead in develop links with physiotherapists at local sports clubs.
• To represent the Department and the University at various external events and conference at an appropriate level.

5. Internal Partnerships
• To assist on the partnership with Human Resources to establish a referral pathway whereby staff can receive high quality physiotherapy.
• To assist on creating a partnership with the existing occupational health service to provide physiotherapy and assist in reducing sickness absence.
• To assist in development of partnership with the Students’ Union human resources department so that their staff may also benefit from the physiotherapy referral process.
• To assist in the development of links with the medical school.

6. Human Resource Management and Staff Development
• To work with Clinical Lead to ensure there is clear objectives and KPI’s linked to the overall strategic objectives for the programme.
• To oversee sports therapy placement students from Coventry University and support and develop students as per placement terms and conditions.
• To provide inspiration, motivation and encouragement to the MDT and Performance Support team.

7. Marketing and Communications
• To assist the Clinical Lead and the marketing team for the ongoing marketing and promotion of the physiotherapy, sports therapy and rehabilitation service both internally and externally.
• To support the Clinical lead and MDT to continually promote the physiotherapy and rehabilitation service to enhance the profile of the service and Warwick Sport both internally and externally.
