Do you have experience in moving & handling or have related experience in health or social care and would like to develop your knowledge and expertise in this area?

We are looking for a motivated enthusiastic professional to join our Moving and Handling team at Valence school. Valence School is a KCC Foundation residential and day Special School for children and young people with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning and communication difficulties. We are part of the Kent Special Educational Needs Trust (KsENT).

We have developed the moving and handling services within the school and have also been able to successfully expand services to provide training and support in moving and handling to a variety of organisations in Kent and the surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will join our moving and handling team and will be based at Valence School but will also need to travel around Kent and into East Sussex.

All applicants for this role must hold an appropriate professional qualification in either nursing, occupational therapy or physiotherapy. Although we would like someone with previous experience in moving and handling training, we also would welcome applications from someone that can demonstrate good communication and organisational skills along with some experience of teaching or training in their professional role, as training in this moving and handling role will be given.
