Exeter Deaf Academy provides specialist education and care tailored to the individual needs of Deaf young people. The sense of belonging to an inspiring bilingual community transforms students as they develop language skills and journey towards independence and fulfilling their potential.

Later this year the Academy will begin to build a groundbreaking, purpose-built facility scheduled to open in 2019. This new world-class Academy will change the lives of Deaf students. It will break down barriers to Deaf young people, bring communities together and enable families to thrive.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive contribution to this growing and progressive organisation.

Actual salary for 19 hours per week 38 weeks per year (term time) - £11,345.47 to £13,940.78 (based on an FTE of £25,897.00 to £31,821.00)

Can you demonstrate:
• Awareness of current therapy innovations relevant to the post?
• Ability to provide instruction to students from a range of different age groups and backgrounds?
• A commitment to supporting and training staff to embed physiotherapy at a universal level within our school and college in both our education and residential settings?
• An awareness of the importance of communication with young people who have a variety of communication needs?
• Paediatric experience or relevant transferable knowledge and experience?
• A qualification to degree level in Physiotherapy?
